Rent a car during your holidays in Mauritius

License

All international licenses accepted.
Drivers with a non-English language licence must carry an accurate English translation of their licence or an International Driving Permit while driving
Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have held a full licence for 2 years or more.

Comprehensive Insurance is provided free of charge.
An insurance excess (deductible) of 375 € applies to drivers.

Booking Deposit

A deposit of 20% is required to confirm a booking.

Payment

Payment is to be made at the commencement of hire by cash or credit card.

Bond

A bond is required on all rentals. A credit card bond is taken on initiation of the hire and released at the termination of the hire providing the vehicle is returned without damage. If a credit card is unavailable, a cash deposit is required and will be refunded at the time of drop off.

Cancellation

There will be a booking fee of € 50.00 taken on all cancellations. Where a booking is cancelled within thirty days of the commencement date of hire, the total deposit will not be refunded.

No Show

If a booking has been confirmed by way of a deposit and you are a "no show" and have not notified us at least 24 hours prior to pickup of your intention to cancel, we reserve the right to charge you three days rental.

Classification/Substitution

Mauritius Car Rentals does not guarantee a specific make/model of car - only the general classification. We will endeavor to supply the class quoted at the time of reservation but reserve the right to substitute an upgraded class - at no additional cost to the hirer.
